Nike’s new running collection is feather light and ultra bright for Spring   This spring Nike launches its new range of running footwear and apparel, making exceptionally lightweight products for runners of all levels. Showcasing cutting-edge sports technology, Nike’s new running collection blends top performance benefits with bold, stylish design features.   Light up the dark nights with a running range featuring vivid flashes of colour, breathable fabrics and seam free construction for maximum comfort. Whether it’s lifting the mileage for Marathon training or getting fit for summer, Nike’s new range will inspire everyone to get out and run this season.   Leading the pack this spring is the new Nike LunarElite+. Built for speed, it offers runners a cushioned and supportive race day shoe, featuring new Dynamic Support technology – the system which adapts while you run to provide stability and cushioning as-needed. Flywire construction makes it both ultra strong and lightweight, by reducing the amount of fabric used in the upper, innovative ‘dot-grip’ silicone material around the heel helps grip the foot and prevent rubbing. The LunarElite+ will also be available on NIKEiD from 2nd March 2010.

Other highlights include the versatile Nike Convertible Jacket with detachable easily removable sleeves. These can be stored in the back zipper pocket quickly turning jacket into gilet – great for changeable spring weather conditions.

The Nike Vapour Jacket offers an element of style with its bold colour blocking, whilst still providing runners the protection they need during inclement weather conditions in a lightweight form. The jacket is also available in a striking blue.

The lightweight waterproof and windproof Nike StormFly Jacket is available in striking pink for women, with reflective strips to help provide visibility in low light conditions.

Other new footwear includes the ultimate race-day shoe, the Nike LunaRacer+ 2, which has been updated ahead of the London Marathon. Nike’s LunarLite cushioning system provides incredibly soft, responsive cushioning whilst remaining feather-light. Key updates include no-sew construction for seamless comfort and a midsole that features a built up medial arch for added support when racing. This shoe is built for speed, perfect for runners looking to pick up the pace on shorter runs or for more experienced runners on marathon day. The Nike LunarGlide+ has also received a style update and is now available for women in black and hot pink, and for men in blue and red, with reflective panels to enhance visibility in low light conditions. A perfect beginner’s shoe, the new Nike LunarSwift+ makes innovative Dynamic Support technology accessible to more new runners. The gender specific fit and ‘no-sew’ construction, which creates a seam free interior, makes for exceptional comfort.   All footwear in the collection is Nike+ enabled. Nike+ is the wireless system that allows Nike footwear to communicate with an iPod nano or the Nike+ SportBand for the ultimate personal running and workout experience.
