You can always buy a new pair of shoes once your old ones have worn out -- but unfortunately things are not quite so easy if you do not look after your body.
We intend to cover all women related health issues in this section from running whilst pregnant through to eating disorders and injury: cause and prevention. There is a section for you to pose your own questions which will be answered by suitably qualified Professional experts, together with well informed articles being posted regularly (the latest articles and features in the 'health section' will always be listed below).

Running 4 Women are delighted to announce that Emma Wight-Boycott has joined our Team of Experts. Emma is a qualified Nutritionist and Fitness Instructor specialising in sports nutrition. She has experience of working with middle to long distance runners, road cyclists, rowers and triathletes at amateur and professional levels. She has a keen interest in the specialty areas of digestive, skin and adrenal disorders.
Through her own interest in sport, particularly middle distance running, Emma appreciates the importance that sound nutrition has on performance and health. Having worked in the food and nutrition industries for over 12 years she brings a unique knowledge of food and supplement manufacturing processes to her practical skills. Emma is currently completing her MSc in Nutrition as well as tutoring undergraduate Nutrition students.
‘’In my spare time I like to wind down with yoga or body balance, a nice long run, planning my next skiing trip with my husband or having a well-deserved glass of wine!’’

Jim Cowan has a wealth of coaching experience having worked with novices to world class athletes. Jim has a particular interest in women’s running having been responsible for designing and launching the Race for Life and giving specialist training advice to Bella magazine’s London marathon charity teams. Having worked in sport and in particular running across the UK and around the world, Jim now runs Cowan Global Consulting from his base in Nottingham while also acting as a director and technical advisor to Performance Fitness UK.
