Hello
I am new to the site and havn't even begun running yet but eager to start. Unfortunately I am 3 stone overweight. I have got a gym membership (but don't go very often) which I have got to go more regularly. Is it ok to start running at this stage or should I wait until I have lost some weight?
Many Thanks
Annie

Hi Annie,
Welcome and well done on making a start. Why don't you start off by doing a run/walk programme, have a look at these links below

Look forward to reading how you progress
Good luck

Hi Ann
I am just back from being away and am in a similar position – I do the run walk thing but am managing to pick up with my running. I read a quote recently which said "you can't wait for another body/mind – you can only run with the ones you have now" Go for it. – Andrea
