I try and stay fit & healthy by do 2/3 xspinning classes a week plus 2/3 runs a week and plenty of walking. I also take vitamin supplements in my diet. I have to stay fit for my two young sons I have to try and keep up with them. They never stop.

I have to say I dont do nearly enough. I walk to and from work which is about a total of 3 miles, I coach at the local rugby club and then I spend a great deal of my time with the family including a rugby mad 15 year old and sports mad 9 year old twins.
Having read this now I dont feel too bad about my lack of regimented exercise – at my age I am getting plenty although I would like to find time to run more!

Well, I'm not getting any younger! Staying fit and healthy has been more important than ever to me since I faced cancer 4 years ago. I want to be around for my children for as long as I can. I run, exericse and try (though don't always succeed!) to eat a healthy diet. I feel sluggish if I don't run and it definitely affects my mood. I love the way running makes me feel, there's no buzz like it.

As Carol says I'm not getting any younger either, and being a single parent makes you realise that you have to be there for the children at all costs. I lost 3 stone when the marriage broke up, I have put on a stone since but feel happier with the weight I am now and aim to keep it at that. I attend a dance class once a week and perform in local shows as a dancer (trying to keep up with the youngsters) lol. I try to run/walk twice or three times a week but only for 15mins although I would like to improve now. I more or less eat healthily, but I do tend to skip a meal if I haven't got the children.

I also take vitamin/iron supplements, and try to eat healthily, although I do believe that a little of what you fancy does you good. I try to do two-three 5K runs on a treadmill per week. I also walk in the country, and do weight training classes, pilates, and country dancing. I also do about three fitness weekends per year. I don't think anyone ever believes they get enough exercise, do they?

Keeping fit – that's why I got into running and the only other thing I can squeeze into life at the moment is badminton. Life is so crazy in our house!
The thing I need advice on is making this running work for me in term of weight loss. I lost a stone when I started a year ago and haven't lost any for months. I know its simple maths – less in + more out but doing it is really hard for me!!!
