Sore feet

I've done a couple of runs over the weekend and the balls of my feet are a little sore.  Is there a way to prevent this, or is it 1 of those things that will start to pass the more I run and my feet get used to it?

    Hiya,

I've got an old pair od Adidas Durano trainers and I go road running round the estate.  To be fair I just think the trainers are worn out and I've got a callus that is catching on an inside seam.

Think I need to go shopping.

Hi Suzanne, It does sound like you need to get yourself a new pair of trainers.

I've got me a new pair of Asics, so the plan is to christen them this afternoon with a 6 miler.  Fingers crossed it doesn't start lashing down.

    Hi Suzanne,

How did your new trainers feel? Hope they didn't get well!

Whilst at work I was thinking great it's started p down, and I mean p down, then yipee the sun came out, so I went for my run.  It was like running on clouds, they were absolute bliss, so for anyone looking for new trainers - Asics gel thingys (they're upstairs, I'm enjoying a drink infront the TV, Friday is naughty day) are the dogs danglies.  Ran approx 4.5 mile of the planned 6 mile route, building my distance and speed up after 20+ yrs of smoking.

I will do that 1/2 marathon next year.  It's my promise to myself.
