I work for Housing for Women, a small charity providing accommodation and support based services for women who have experienced domestic violence, trafficked women and women ex-offenders and their children.
Every year we join the Regent's Park 10k Race and we are looking for people who would like to fundraise for us. This year's race is on Sunday 4th June at 9.30am. For a £15 registration fee and a fundraising target of £200, this is a great opportunity to run a 10k in one of the most iconic parks in London while making a huge difference to your community. Each of our runners will get a running vest and a goody bag. We are also offering amazing prizes to top fundraisers and fastest runners (including theatre tickets, cricket tickets, meals out, etc.).
If are already registered to run the Regent's Park 10k, you can still set your fundraising target and help hundreds of women and their children that depend on our services.
£50 could pay for a half-day therapeutic play session for children affected by domestic violence.
£250 could pay for a day out at the Aquarium for children staying at our refuges, providing much needed respite and opportunities for peer support.
£1,200 could support the yearly living costs of two victims of human trafficking while they await the outcome of their asylum application.
