Half Marathon
Hi, can anyone give me some advice please I'm running the half marathon on 14 October. I have only been running for the last 12.5 weeks and finding it hard to run in the warm weather. I have managed 2x 8 mile runs however found them hard. I'm worried I won't make the 13 miles !!!! Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Gursharn
Apart from trying to run early or late in the day, and maybe wearing a pale coloured baseball cap, you might want to try running through woodland (if there are any woods near you).
Good luck with the half marathon

Hi Gursharn, you still have time so don't worry and the weather is not so warm now so hopefully this will help your training. Keep us informed how your training is going over the next few weeks.

Hi Gursharn,
That's really good. How did you find it?

Hi Joanne the long runs are hard, it's getting hard to keep myself motivated. I know I wanted it to get cooler lol now it keeps raining so using the treadmill more now, find it alittle boring to be honest prefer running out doors !! I just want to do the run now and get it over with... Worried I won't be able to get through the 13 miles, just thinking about it panics me.
