I stumbled across this website whilst trying to avoid doing my work! (One of the dangers of self-employment!)
I have just spent the last hour completing (very honestly and ashamedly) my profile details and my training diary, which i started at the beginning of this month. I'm awaiting delivery of the new basic Garmin Forerunner 10 and am really pleased with myself for running for 30 mins straight before walking and completing 3.53 miles the day before yesterday...albeit it at a very slow pace!
I hope to use this website for my inspiration and motivation to keep going.
My main goal at present is to be able to run 3-4 miles at a 10 minute mile pace, and then i will join a local club.

Hi! I found this website whilst I was looking for a race to do in October (I did the 8K in Windsor) - I only took up running back in May/June time - once I did my race I got the running bug and I'm looking to do a 10k now - once I've done a few of those I'd like to do a half marathon, but just love running - getting out in the fresh air, even the rain doesn't bother me! I am yet to do a run in the dark though! I've had a bit of a break this week for Half Term (also been very hormonal which zapped all my energy and motivation for everything!) but looking forward to getting back into the swing of things at the weekend :-)
