PRODUCT REVIEW – Columbia – Ravenous – Fireweed/Light Grey by Valerie - R4W member

CUSHIONING - What's really surprising is just how cushioned and soft it feels, particularly at the heel. It really does give a much more cushioned ride than most trail-running shoes with a nice soft roll from heel to forefoot. That, combined with the airy mesh upper makes it a good hot weather shoe. Score 5/5

COMFORT - Very snug fit. Much more comfortable than my usual hard trail shoes. And if you get wet, the mesh dries very quickly! Score 5/5

GRIP/RESPONSIVENESS - The soft feel is great on even terrain, but the flexible feel underfoot is less reassuring on really rocky ground, where your foot often lands half on and half off things. I was loosing my balance at times. Score 3/5

STABILITY - The outer heel area of the shoe minimizes movement, but it also supports the heel for improved stability and fit. Score 5/5

OVERALL - The Ravenous is light, very breathable, with excellent cushioning.  Also very good for hot weather running.  And they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever tried! Score 5/5
