BodyMe high protein snack bars

‘Vegan Diet’ was the most searched for diet of 2016. Thus, with numerous leading sportsmen and women embracing veganism, from boxer David Haye to tennis players Venus Williams and Novak Djokovic, and research1 showing eating plant based protein has a similar effect on exercise performance as animal based, it’s with great excitement that BodyMe announce the launch of their new vegan protein bar range.

With significantly more high quality protein (16g per bar) than any other products registered with The Vegan Society, BodyMe’s bars use a mixture of pea protein, sprouted brown rice protein and hemp seed protein to ensure they contain all nine essential amino acids. This effective protein blend is combined with raw fruit, nuts, oils and superfoods – ranging from cacao nibs to chia seeds. The result is a raw-processed bar, produced by cold pressing the ingredients, which is gluten and soy free and, perhaps most importantly, tastes great, with three delicious flavours available – chia vanilla, cacao orange and cacao mint.

It’s not just your body and taste buds that benefit from the bars however. Alongside being vegan, they are organic, 10% of profits from their sale go to charity and their CO2 footprint is reduced by manufacturing in the UK.

As environmental and other concerns begin to grow around animal sourced proteins, why wouldn’t you opt for plant based nutrition to fuel your performance?

As BodyMe’s founder Leigh Prideax puts it…

‘What’s the point of exercising hard to feel good about yourself if you don’t then feel good about the food you put in your body afterwards?’
